Moderate Selling Pressure in Lentils
PANAMA - Aug 9/19 - SNS -- Few changes were reported in global lentil markets during the past week, though they are encountering some seasonal weakness as the North American harvest rapidly approaches.
Limited harvest activity has been reported in both Canada and the United States, but it remains too early to assess the average yield of this year's crop.
Some market participants in Saskatchewan believe yields in the province could be above average, with the result users and exporters are waiting to cover outstanding needs because of expectations there will be further price weakness.
