Marketing Year Starts Quiet in Mustard

PANAMA - Aug 9/19 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged in seasonally light trade during the past week.

The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 900 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between July 22 to July 31. The season to date total is now 22,600 MT, compared to 22,000 MT exported during the previous marketing year.

Farmers delivered 2,000 MT to primary elevators during the week. Deliveries now total 63,700 MT, compared to 56,400 MT during the same period last season.
