Australia's Lentils Exports Reveal Strong Result
PANAMA - Aug 6/19 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentilss from Australia leapt relative to the previous month in June, recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
Total export sales for the month amounted to 73,232 metric tons (MT), up 166% from the previous month's total of 27,577. So far export sales have reached 218,240 MT, down from 350,209 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The top buyer during the month was Bangladesh, taking 56,116 MT. India was the second most important consumer buying 10,241 MT, followed by Pakistan at 3,781 MT.
