Canada's Lentil Exports Continue Solid Tone
PANAMA - Aug 2/19 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Canada showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in June, official data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Exports during the month reached 197,358 metric tons (MT), up from 181,842 MT the previous month. This increased shipments so far during the marketing year to 1,843,044, up 30% last year.
India was the most important destination during the month, buying 104,311 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination buying 20,881 MT, followed by Colombia at 14,281 MT.
