Mixed Demand Optimism in Peas
PANAMA - Jul 12/19 - SNS -- International field pea markets closed the week's trading little changed, with exporters continued to fill in end of season commitments.
There are some worries about overall demand for Canadian product in the coming months because of India's quantitative limits on pea imports and political tension with China.
Even so, there is some optimism Chinese demand for peas will remain strong, though competition for business is expected to increase as field production expands in eastern Europe.
