Little Change in Chickpeas
PANAMA - Jul 12/19 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were largely unchanged in limited trading interest during the past week.
Markets were pleased to see that Canadian exports through the end of May are up 15% from last year at almost 130,000 metric tons (MT).
But the modest increase in Canadian shipments was offset by a 13% drop in U.S. exports through the end of May to around 124,000 MT. The net result is that inventories will close the marketing year at unusually high levels.
