WASHINGTON - Jul 11/19 - SNS -- This year's oat harvest in the United States is expected to reach 61.6 million bushels, up 15% from 2018 for comparable States, according to the latest USDA production forecast for 2019.
Growers expect to harvest 909,000 acres for grain or seed, unchanged from the Acreage report released on June 28, 2019, but up 10% from 2018 for comparable States.
Based on conditions as of July 1, the average yield for the United States is forecast at 67.8 bushels per acre, up 2.5 bushels from 2018 for comparable States.
