Peas Watch Kharif Seeding Progress
PANAMA - Jul 5/19 - SNS -- International field pea markets are paying close attention to this year's kharif seeding progress in India.
Imports of peas, except for other than planting seed are subject to quantitative limits, with importers facing some bureaucratic hurdles obtaining permits.
While unlikely to change over the short term, if pulse supply fundamentals change significantly because of a slow start to this year's monsoon rains, India may have no choice but to at least increase the quantity allowed to be imported.
