Green Lentil Exports From Canada Sustain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Jul 3/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year are keeping up a stronger trend, with green lentil export shipments from Canada advanced relative to the previous month in May, judging from official data from Statistics Canada.
Exports during the month totalled 32,869 metric tons (MT), up from 27,962 MT the previous month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 386,980, up 6% last year.
Current trade statistics showed Colombia was largest destination, buying 4,690 MT in the month. United Arab Emirates was the second most important importer receiving 4,603 MT, followed by Sudan at 4,486 MT.
