India's Lentil Imports Manage Easy Performance
PANAMA - Jun 15/19 - SNS -- Imports of lentils for India were little changed, dropping versus the previous month in March, the most recent data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics shows.
Imports totalled 30,616 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 9% from the 33,521 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 86,901 MT, compared to 55,206 during the last calendar year.
The number one export origin throughout the month was Canada, supplying 27,467 MT. Australia was the second most important shipper shipping 1,845 MT, followed by United States at 479 MT.
