Mustard Sees a Quiet Week

PANAMA - Jun 14/19 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged in relatively light trading conditions during the past week.

North American markets are becoming increasingly concerned about the moisture situation in Saskatchewan. As the week got underway, the provincial agriculture department rated topsoil moisture conditions as 21% adequate, 42% short and 37% very short.

Much of the province is expected to see rain showers in the coming week. But, growers would prefer a good soaking rain to recharge soil moisture reserves and ensure initial crop development.
