Canada's Lentil Exports Continue Firm Trend
PANAMA - Jun 6/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of lentils during April advanced versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Movement during the month totalled 136,471 metric tons (MT), up from 131,283 MT the prior month. This lifted export sales so far during the marketing year to 1,463,793, up 26% last year.
The largest destination for the month was India, receiving 29,927 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important buyer taking 19,870 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 13,235 MT.
