Lithuania's Field Pea Exports Open On Firm Note
PANAMA - May 16/19 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas from Lithuania jumped compared to the previous month in March, official data from Eurostat reports.
Export sales totalled 24,844 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 20% from the 20,633 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 69,139 MT, versus 60,839 in the same period the previous calendar year.
In the month, Egypt was the top buyer, receiving 5,852 MT. Norway was the second most important destination receiving 5,803 MT, followed by Poland at 4,735 MT.
