Sunflower Seed Exports From China Open On Firm Tone
PANAMA - May 15/19 - SNS -- Exports of sunflower seeds from China leapt relative to the previous month in March, data from General Customs Administration of China shows.
Total shipments in the month amounted to 68,650 metric tons (MT), up 111% from the previous month's total of 32,510. So far exports have reached 167,374 MT, up from 128,088 during the previous calendar year.
Turkey was the largest destination during the month, receiving 24,977 MT. Egypt was the second most important consumer buying 14,874 MT, followed by Iran at 5,417 MT.
