India's Mung Bean Imports Post Soft Opening

PANAMA - May 15/19 - SNS -- India's imports of mung beans in February posted massive declines, sinking compared to the previous month, judging from data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports during the month reached 6,125 metric tons (MT), down from 38,338 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 44,463, up 346% last year.

The number one shipper for the month was Myanmar, supplying 4,614 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important export origin shipping 778 MT, followed by Singapore at 613 MT.
