Canaryseed Exports From Canada Open With Firm Tone
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year on a a firmer tendency, with canaryseed movement from Canada rose slightly compared to the previous month in February, judging from trade statistics from Statistics Canada.
Export sales reached 12,156 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 13% from the 10,746 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 86,906 MT, compared to 80,611 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Mexico was the most important buyer during the month, taking 2,279 MT. Brazil was the second most important buyer buying 1,749 MT, followed by Algeria at 1,136 MT.
