Canada's Kidney Bean Exports Start On Strong Tone
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year with a a stronger tendency, with kidney bean shipments for Canada posted decent increases, moving relative to the previous month in February, according to available statistics from Statistics Canada.
Export sales totalled 11,450 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 15% from the 9,976 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 75,209 MT, compared to 66,826 during the previous marketing year.
The latest trade data reported United Kingdom was top importer, receiving 5,451 MT. Italy was the second most important destination buying 1,417 MT, followed by Turkey at 1,331 MT.
