Soybean Imports By Greece Start With Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Greece's imports of soybeans in February posted significant declines, slumping versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Imports for the month reached 17,508 metric tons (MT), down from 23,803 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 41,311, down 20% last year.

The number one exporter during the month was United States, selling 13,507 MT. Ukraine was the second most important exporter selling 4,000 MT, followed by Belgium at 1 MT.
