Czech Republic's Oil-type Sunflower Imports Post Weak Opening

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Czech Republic's imports of oil-type sunflowers in February eased compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 16,118 metric tons (MT), down 8% from the previous month's total of 17,482. So far imports have amounted to 33,600 MT, up from 29,698 in the same period the last calendar year.

The number one origin for the month was Slovakia, shipping 8,093 MT. Hungary was the second most important shipper supplying 4,640 MT, followed by Romania at 2,198 MT.
