Netherlands's Soybean Imports Start With Weak Note

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Imports of soybeans by Netherlands were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in February, recent data from Eurostat reports.

Imports totalled 230,413 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 37% from the 367,688 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 598,100 MT, compared to 680,947 during the last calendar year.

For the month, United States was the number one supplier, shipping 227,275 MT. China was the second most important export origin selling 2,782 MT, followed by Canada at 344 MT.
