Oil-type Sunflower Imports By Spain Start With Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Imports of oil-type sunflowers for Spain were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in February, official data from Eurostat reveals.

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 540 metric tons (MT), down 54% from the previous month's total of 1,179. So far imports have reached 1,719 MT, down from 49,598 in the same period the previous calendar year.

Serbia was the most important export origin during the month, selling 522 MT. Argentina was the second most important origin shipping 18 MT, followed by at 0 MT.
