Kidney Bean Exports From China Open On Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 14/19 - SNS -- Movement of kidney beans from China were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in January, the most recent data from General Customs Administration of China reports.

Shipments for the first month of the calendar year totalled 12,659 metric tons (MT), down 39% from 20,765 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed shipments was down 54% from the 27,314 MT reported for the same month last year.

During the month, India was the most important buyer, receiving 3,072 MT. Italy was the second most important buyer buying 2,525 MT, followed by Yemen at 1,240 MT.
