Field Pea Imports By China Post Weak Opening

PANAMA - Apr 14/19 - SNS -- Started the calendar year recordedan easier result, with field pea imports for China dropped relative to the previous month in January, according to available statistics from General Customs Administration of China.

The updated data showed imports for the month totalled 158,931 metric tons (MT), down 17% from 192,414 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, imports are up 4% from 152,101 MT.

Canada was the number one export origin, shipping 157,164 MT. United States was the second most important export origin selling 1,092 MT, followed by United Kingdom at 418 MT.
