Field Pea Exports From Russia Open On Weak Note
PANAMA - Apr 11/19 - SNS -- Are beginning the current calendar year with a softer tendency, with field pea movement for Russia shrank relative to the previous month in January, judging from official trade data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Movement for the first month of the calendar year totalled 21,072 metric tons (MT), down 71% from 72,842 MT the previous month. The data showed movement was down 59% from the 50,828 MT reported for the same month last year.
Pakistan was the number one destination for the month, taking 5,737 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer receiving 4,842 MT, followed by Latvia at 2,493 MT.
