USDA Sets Loan Rates For Pulses

WASHINGTON - Apr 10/19 - SNS -- The USDA has established loan rates for pulses for the coming marketing year.

The national loan rate for peas is U.S. $6.15 per 100 pounds (cwt), with it set at $6.10 in the eastern region and $6.48 in the western region.

The national loan rate for lentils is U.S. $13 cwt, with it set at $12.70 in the eastern region and $15 in the western region.

The loan rate for all states is $14 cwt for large chickpeas and $10 for small chickpeas.

The West region includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

The East region includes Montana, North Dakota and other states not included in the West region.
