Field Pea Exports From Canada Record Easy Month
PANAMA - Mar 27/19 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of field peas during January were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Exports during the first month of the marketing year totalled 191,056 metric tons (MT), down 19% from 235,797 MT the previous month. The statistics showed shipments was up 9% from the 1,437,813 MT reported during the same month last year.
Loadings so far during the marketing year are up compared to the same six month period during the last five years. A total of 1,569,282 MT has been moved so far, up -9% from an average of 1,732,716 MT recorded the last five years.
