Canada's Green Lentil Exports Post Weak Performance
PANAMA - Mar 27/19 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of green lentils in January eased versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
The updated data showed shipments during the month totalled 37,960 metric tons (MT), down 5% from 39,949 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, export sales are up 9% from 237,204 MT.
Since the beginning of the marketing year, loadings are up versus the last five year average. Thus far, 258,700 MT have been moved, up 26% from the current average of 350,189.
