Canada's Soybean Exports Record Easy Month
PANAMA - Mar 27/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of soybeans during January plunged versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
The most recent data showed shipments for the month totalled 108,355 metric tons (MT), down 88% from 924,267 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, shipments are up 12% from 3,409,708 MT.
Since the beginning of the marketing year, exports have been up compared to the prior five year average. A total of 3,803,757 MT was exported so far, up 21% from an average of 3,137,238 MT recorded the previous five years.
