Italy's Monthly Imports Essentially Unchanged
PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Opened this calendar year, with kidney and white bean imports for Italy sat relative to the previous month in January, judging from the most recent statistics from Eurostat.
The latest statistics showed imports for the month totalled 12,438 metric tons (MT), compared to 12,454 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, imports were down 23% from 16,194 MT.
The most recent movement statistics showed Argentina was largest shipper, selling 3,695 MT. China was the second most important export origin shipping 3,202 MT, followed by United States at 2,586 MT.
