Sunflower Seed Exports From China Sustain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Mar 14/19 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year are keeping up a firmer performance, with sunflower seed shipments from China were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in December, judging from official trade statistics from General Customs Administration of China.
Total movement in the month amounted to 57,472 metric tons (MT) , up 24% from the previous month's total of 46,417. So far movement has amounted to 464,731 MT, up from 410,978 during the previous calendar year.
The most recent trade data showed Egypt was largest buyer, buying 15,633 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer receiving 13,877 MT, followed by Vietnam at 5,057 MT.
