Lentils Exports From Australia Open On Easy Tone
PANAMA - Mar 7/19 - SNS -- Australia's movement of lentilss during January were well down, plunging compared to the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
The updated data showed shipments during the month totalled 15,507 metric tons (MT), down 40% from 25,955 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement were down 55% from 130,097 MT.
For the month, Sri Lanka was the most important destination, buying 4,178 MT. Sri Lanka was the second most important buyer taking 3,758 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 3,017 MT.
