Australia's Chickpea Exports Open On Soft Tone
PANAMA - Mar 7/19 - SNS -- Australia's movement of chickpeas during January eased versus the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Exports during the opening month of the marketing year totalled 34,017 metric tons (MT), down 8% from 36,969 MT the previous month. The data showed shipments is down 73% from the 351,439 MT reported during the same month last year.
Bangladesh was the most important destination, buying 17,296 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination taking 2,886 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 2,517 MT.
