Canada's Soybean Exports Post Easy Month
PANAMA - Mar 6/19 - SNS -- Exports of soybeans from Canada posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in December, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales totalled 924,267 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 39% from the 1,519,260 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 3,695,402 MT, compared to 3,121,920 during the previous marketing year.
The number one destination throughout the month was China, receiving 300,789 MT. China was the second most important buyer taking 226,221 MT, followed by China at 149,411 MT.
