New Crop Mustard Premiums Emerge

PANAMA - Mar 1/19 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were unchanged in limited trading activity during the past week.

Spreads between the average spot and average new crop bid reflect a carrying charge for yellow and oriental as well as the top two grades of brown mustard.

The average new crop premium for oriental is the highest, reflecting concerns that seeded area will not be high enough to meet prospective demand.
