Few Changes in Lentils
PANAMA - Feb 15/19 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week's trading little changed against seasonally light demand.
Fill in demand from exporters is helping support prices offered to growers, but asking prices on world markets continue to occupy a wide range, with some companies needing to reduce inventory.
Markets are somewhat concerned about the fact lentil seeding in India's current rabi season will remain relatively high. Seeded area is down 1.8% from last year at 1.693 million hectares.
