American Chickpea Exports Continue Easy Tendency

PANAMA - Feb 6/19 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year maintained their easier tone, with chickpea exports from U.S. were somewhat weaker, inching down relative to the previous month in November, according to statistics from U.S. Department of Commerce.

Total export sales during the month amounted to 13,623 metric tons (MT) , down 3% from the previous month's total of 14,057. So far Movement to 34,730 MT, down from 71,277 in the same period the previous marketing year.

Current movement statistics reported Spain was biggest importer, buying 3,877 MT in the month. Pakistan was the second most important destination taking 3,493 MT, followed by Canada at 2,627 MT.
