Split Pea Exports From U.S. Record Weak Performance

PANAMA - Feb 6/19 - SNS -- American shipments of split peas in November were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month, according to data from U.S. Department of Commerce.

Shipments totalled 4,764 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 6% from the 5,048 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 17,527 MT, versus 10,119 during the previous marketing year.

Peru was the biggest importer, receiving 1,592 MT. Sudan was the second most important buyer taking 995 MT, followed by Togo at 501 MT.
