India's Mung Bean Imports Post Improved Result

PANAMA3 - Jan 17/19 - SNS -- India's imports of mung beans during November were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month, judging from data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports reached 88,389 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 27% from the 69,690 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 412,265 MT, compared to 435,080 in the same period the last calendar year.

The largest export origin for the month was Myanmar, supplying 87,144 MT. Australia was the second most important shipper shipping 333 MT, followed by Argentina at 278 MT.
