India's Kidney Bean Imports Reveal Easy Month
PANAMA1 - Jan 17/19 - SNS -- Imports of kidney beans by India were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month in November, the most recent data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics shows.
Imports reached 6,778 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 10% from the 7,517 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 99,269 MT, versus 82,095 during the last calendar year.
Ethiopia was the number one export origin for the month, supplying 1,400 MT. Brazil was the second most important supplier shipping 1,234 MT, followed by Kyrgyzstan at 968 MT.
