Chickpea Exports From Russia Post A Better Result

PANAMA1 - Jan 14/19 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas from Russia posted massive increases, soaring versus the previous month in October, data from Federal Customs Service of Russia reports.

Exports for the month reached 19,326 metric tons (MT), up from 9,104 MT the previous month. This lifted movement so far during the calendar year to 78,889, down 28% last year.

The most important destination throughout the month was Pakistan, buying 6,167 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer taking 4,668 MT, followed by Jordan at 2,547 MT.
