French Pea Movement Shows Modest Gains
PARIS - Jan 10/19 - SNS -- France's field pea exports continued to improve in November, though season to date shipments remain well below last year, according to data from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during November totalled 17,285 metric tons (MT), up 16% from the 14,860 MT shipped the previous month, but down 63% from the 46,480 MT shipped the same month last year. Season to date export clearances are down 51% from the previous marketing year.
Belgium was the most important destination, taking 10,570 MT. The United Kingdom was the second most important destination at 2,680 MT, followed by Netherlands at 1,830 and Switzerland at 842 MT.
