Minimal Bulk Chickpea Movement
PANAMA - Nov 30/18 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 100 MT of bulk chickpeas were loaded for export through reporting terminals and primary elevators between November 19 and November 25. Bulk loadings for export total 800 MT so far, compared to 1,900 MT during the previous marketing year.
Farmers delivered 2,000 MT of chickpeas to primary elevators during the week. Season to date deliveries total 26,600 MT, compared to 36,800 MT during the same period last season.
Elevators and terminals reported selling 700 MT of bulk chickpeas to domestic buyers during the week. Sales now total 5,400 MT, compared to 5,000 MT during the same period last season.
