Mustard Markets Unchanged

PANAMA - Oct 26/18 - SNS -- There was little price movement in North American mustard markets through the past week, with deliveries from growers closely matching the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Excellent progress is being made harvesting Canadian mustard seed because of drier conditions across much of the growing area. The week started with 96% of the crop in the bin, compared to complete by the third week of October last year and just above the recent five year average of 95.2%.

Mustard/rapeseed production in India is expected to climb sharply this year, with the country expected seeded area to jump from six million hectares last year to 6.5 million.
