Little Change in Chickpeas
PANAMA - Sep 7/18 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were little changed in relatively limited trading during the past week.
Some buyers expect further weakness in values, causing them hold back from covering their remaining needs for the fall and early winter shipping periods.
Canada's harvest started the week at 30% complete for an inferred availability of 79,000 metric tons (MT) of new crop chickpeas, more than double the 37,000 MT available at this time last year.
