Canadian Mustard Exports Fall 10%

PANAMA - Sep 7/18 - SNS -- Canada finished its 2017-18 marketing with total exports dropping 10% to almost 112,000 metric tons (MT).

The United States remains Canada's main market, but shipments to that country were down just over 8,000 MT from the previous marketing year.

Slower U.S. demand partly reflects recent production gains in that country. After averaging roughly 13,000 MT per year between 2011 and 2015, output jumped to almost 44,000 MT in 2016 and just over 27,000 last year.
