United States Dealer Bean Index Review

VANCOUVER - Sep 5/18 - STAT -- The spot market dealer price index for dry edible beans grown in the United States at the close of the 2017-18 marketing year falling 7% below the recent three year average.

For the season just ended, the Bean Index was 126 points, compared to an annual average of 136 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.

Analysis of the monthly pattern reveals the highest monthly average index level was 141 points in September, while the lowest monthly average level was 121 points in August.
