Mustard In Mostly Fair Condition

PANAMA - Jul 27/18 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged on the week, with grower bids in Canada showing stability as markets become more confident about the status of this year's crop.

Most of the crop in Canada is rated in poor to fair conditions. In Saskatchewan, an estimated 16% of the mustard fields are in poor conditions, while 46% is rated fair, 37% good and 1% excellent.

Of all special crops grown in the province, mustard seed appears to be suffering the most from hotter than normal growing conditions.
