Chickpea Spreads Remain Wide
PANAMA - Jul 14/18 - SNS -- Spreads between large and smaller caliber chickpeas remain wide, reflecting expectations of a massive increase in output of 9mm and smaller caliber product.
Seeded area is up in North America and other countries in response to the high prices which prevailed for much of the current marketing year.
European buyers are in their summer holiday season, which is having an impact on buying interest. This has seen some origins lower asking prices in an effort to attract interest.
