U.S. Bean Crop in Good Condition
WASHINGTON - Jun 26/18 - SNS -- Dry edible bean crops in the United States are in mostly good condition, judging from state level reports from the USDA.
The states reporting crop conditions for beans represent 59% of this year's intended seeded area. Conditions in Michigan are not yet being reported because the state's crop is still being planted. However, it should be entering the final stages by the coming week.
North Dakota is the most important producing state and 96% of the crop has emerged, the same as last year and ahead of the recent five year average of 85%.
