Peas Await Seeded Area Estimate
PANAMA - Jun 22/18 - SNS -- Relatively strong ongoing export demand continues to support spot markets for North American field peas, with many market participants hopeful movement will remain strong through at least the end of the calendar year.
Markets are also beginning to believe competition for available demand will not be as brisk as initially feared because of expected declines in output in Russia and the Ukraine.
This combination of events is changing attitudes about Statistics Canada's June 29 seeded area estimate.
